Pregnant after IF
still taking estradiol (estrace) after pg?
did anyone's RE have them continue taking Estradiol after getting their BFP? mine did, i am still taking it 3 x a day. and of course looking it up, it says not to take when PG, its category X. so im stressing...i know they wouldnt have me take something if they didnt need me to but im worried, what if the IVF nurse didnt realize and left me on it by mistake or something.

I'm still taking it 2x a day. My RE gave me a big packet of info, and it specifically discusses the category X thing... says that's for synthetic hormones, and the hormones they give us for IVF supplementation are natural. Natural hormones are considered OK.
Me = lean PCOS;DH = poor morphology (3%)
3 IUI/TI cycles = BFN
IVF #1 with ICSI: antagonist protocol = BFFN
IVF #2 with ICSI : Lupron downregulation = BFFN...FML
IVF #3 with ICSI and AH (Antagonist) = IT'S A BOY!!!!
I must be the minority here - first I was taken off progesterone (Crinone) after my 2nd beta. They have checked my levels with my betas, and according to the nurse, my progesterone level was so high (>200 I think) that there's enough for every pregnant woman out there. Then I was taken off estrace (2x/day) after my 3rd beta.
It's been almost 2 wks since I've been off both, and I haven't had any problems such as spotting, however, I don't get my first U/S for another week. I don't know if my RE took me off both so soon was b/c I was suffering from OHSS.
Failed multiple cycles of Clomid+TI and Clomid+IUI
3/2011 inj+IUI #1 BFP. 4/2011 missed m/c.

it looks like i am taking this, PIO, prometrium, and progesterone supps until further notice LOL.
This! And, I will stop progesterone at 10 weeks.
