No rolling yet. I know DS#1 rolled at 3.5 months. I sure hope this is in the 'normal' range. I h ave written down that DS#1 was also starteing to sit up by 5 months. DS#2 is nowhere near that.
What is your 4-5 month old doing/not doing?
Severe MFI resulting in IVF/ICSI #1 in Nov 2007. BFP!! Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
My son will be 6 months on Friday and doesn't roll over. He rolled tummy to back once on accident at 12 weeks...nothing since. I'm not really worried, since he's hitting every other milestone, but I know it can be frustrating when they're not doing something they're "supposed to be doing".
My DS#1 didn't roll until he was like 6 months old. However, he is way ahead on every other milestone and has a very advanced vocabulary and motor skills for his age now. I remember stressing about it and doing tons of tummy time even though he hated it.
I've barely had time to do any of that with DS#2 and he is already rolling back to tummy and almost tummy to back. They are all different and do things in their own time, don't stress
My DD is just over 4 months and has only rolled once (last weekend). She just doesnt seem interested in it. It just depends on the things they like and their incentive to do it.
DS was rolling front to back early but then got lazy and wouldn't do it anymore. He sometimes rolls from back to front. My Mom was looking through me and my brother's baby books and there was a huge difference between us. I tended to do everything early whereas my brother did everything very late. My Mom joked that she never thought my brother was ever going to learn to walk and that she would still be carrying him around when he was in his 20's! My point is that I would not worry too much about it at this time. Some kids are faster and others are a bit slower and both can be in the "normal" range. If you are too concerned then check with the pedi. Good luck to you!
Re: My 4.5 mo still hasnt rolled :( OK?
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
