Nausea...all day

I am about 4 weeks along - this is my first time being pregnant. My nausea (morning sickness as they call it) seems to be a constant feeling all day. I haven't thrown up yet, but i definitely feel slight nausea for a large portion of the day. Is this normal?? I have my first doc appointment next week, but I'm getting nervous :-/

Re: Nausea...all day

  • I have an almost 3 year old girl and an 8 months old son and I was SOOO sick with both of my little ones for the first 4-5 months. Totally normal.

  • Ok thanks for responding!! I guess I have this to look forward to for a while, haha
  • I've been super nauseous all day, every day (haven't thrown up yet, just that I'm going to puke feeling) for the past two weeks.

  • Totally normal - I've been completely nausea all day since week 5, same pretty much with my last pregnancy.  I feel like I'm going to throw up, but I never do.  I'm completely exhausted and it's horrible.  Last time, mine lasted until about week 12.
  • Yes!! I'm exhausted too. I've been getting anywhere from 8-10 hours of sleep at night and yet I still find myself yawning all day long. It's hard to get anything done!!
  • I feel the same way. I am sick from the moment I wake up, to when I go to sleep. Nothing seems to help that much either, lol. Oh well. I'm hoping mine goes away or lessens after 12 weeks or so like many ladies have said :)

  • Try Sea Bands - I got some at Target today, $8.  Within minutes of putting them on my nausea subsided and hasn't come back yet today!  I wish I would have known about these for my last pregnancy, I was so sick that one from week 6-16.  Good luck!

  • Try snacking on few almonds.  You can also to to Walmart in the motion sick isle and they sell a topical oil that you dab behind your ears.  It smells like lavender& eucalyptus.  My ds has had migraines since he was 2 and the pediatrician told me to use this to stop the nauseous feeling he would gets with them.
  • Yup I have all day nausea too. It feels like I have a constant pit in my stomach. I found that eating small frequent snacks helps like fruit, nuts, granola bars etc.. I rarely eat a full sit down mean since I found out I was pregnant. I just eat what I can and make sure I take my prenatal vitamin.. Best wishes!
