Well, damnit if that darn dog was right!
Our twins arrived yesterday, FAST AND FURIOUS!!!! at 4pm. (birth story to follow, it truely was RIGHT out if a movie scene, lol. ) No time for anything, cramps at 1pm, bloody trickle/leak at 2pm, hospital at 3pm, babies (vaginally, no meds or NOTHING by 4pm.
Miss Penelope Hope was 1st, 5lbs, looked great but did get intubated for 30 mins and NICU for 22 hrs. Regular nursery now, learning to eat for a few days. She is beyond cute, and is super sweet.
Then Caden Holland was born, and assessed. Although moving, and tolerated labor surprisingly well, his tummy/urinary issues were much more complex that we feared, and he came right back to us, and spent several peaceful moments in our arms, before he slipped away. I like to think he just waited until he knew Penelope was here safe, and quietly just "flew west." I'm sure this sounds crazy, but I've heard a cricket chirping twice since then. He looked amazing, precious and sweet. I'll have lots of photos of both my children in a few days.
A million thanks to all of you that prayed, wished, HOPED and stood by me during this epic journey of mine. There is no doubt my heart will survive this, in part, because of all your support.
More later, I'm beyond exhausted.

I'm so glad you had some nice moments with little Caden but very sad that it wasn't more... I'm so sorry.

Wow! I just got chills reading your post. It's been a LONG road, but I had no doubt that you would someday mother others.
I'm so sorry that your sweet Caden (LOVE the name) couldn't stay longer, but I'm glad you got to meet and hold him if only for a brief time. Thinking of you and sending hugs to you and your family.
Congratulations on your baby girl! I love her name too, and I can't wait to see pics and hear more about her. Sending thougts and prayers that she continues to thrive and gets to go home very soon. Rest up and take care of yourself!

As I said on fb I had so been hoping and praying for a different outcome for him but I hope that you have peace that you made all the right choices. I'm glad that he could be evaluated so there were no doubts/regrets/what-ifs. And since he was no here long I'm glad he left us peacefully in your arms.
Cant wait to see pics of both and glad that Penelope is stable and doing well. Hopefully she'll be home soon. What a fantastic birth story.

My heart is full of joy & sadness all at once. I have so much I want to say & yet no words seem adequate.
Congratulations on the birth of Penelope Hope & Caden Hollland! What beautiful & most fitting names for your little ones. I am so very sorry that sweet Caden passed, but grateful that you were able to meet him & that he guided his sister safely into your arms before leaving. What a special, special little man- little warrior, indeed!
I can't wait to hear your birth story & see photos!
Crying happy tears for miss P & all the joy & love she will fill your heart & lives with. Tears of grief for your sweet angel, cricket. I know that he will be with you always.

Tracie, congratulations on the arrival of Penelope Hope-I am so glad she is doing well.

Oh T, I was hoping for a much different turnout. I am so sorry that Caden couldn't stay longer, but what he did for his sister was amazing. I would be proud to call him my son. A big congratulations on your new baby girl! I see lots of tutus, and princesses in your future ;o) I can't wait to see pictures of your sweet babies, and I love love their names!!

What an amazing moment it must have been for you to welcome your two angels into the world! So sad that Caden couldnt have been here longer, but you all now have another angel watching over you. What a blessing!

Wow! I didnt expect to see this this morning. So many emotions...joy, sadness, relief, hope, and bitter dissappointment. I'm so happy for the safe birth of Penelope Hope and so sorry for the passing of Caden Holland. Congratulations to you and your family. Many hugs and love.

I thought of you as soon as I woke up this morning -- I guess your energy was out there.
I love their names -- their middle names in particular couldn't be more perfect.
I'm thankful you got to hold sweet miracle Caden. My heart breaks that you didn't get to hold him for longer, and your beautiful angel is so loved and will never be forgotten, I promise.
Penelope sounds so healthy and gorgeous! I can't imagine the number of kisses she'll be getting.
Hugs for the rollercoaster as you balance celebration and grief. Congratulations again!

Oh my goodness! I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot of this but I dont know what to say. Congratulations and I'm so sorry. How is it possible to be so happy for someone and so sad for them at the same time?
I'm glad you were able to spend time with Caden. Penelope is so lucky to have her twin looking out for her.

Lady, I am in tears. Of joy, of sorrow, all of it. I am so happy and yet my heart breaks for little Caden. You and your beautiful family will be in my thoughts and prayers a lot in the coming days. May Penelope thrive under the protective spirit of her brother so you can all be together at home soon. Give those sweet kids love from all of us!

I am so glad to hear that Penelope is doing great!!!! I'm so happy for you guys!!!!!!!! I'm so glad you had a few minutes with Caden (love the names btw) It sounds like he wanted to check on his sister and his mother before he went where he needed to go. I'm sorry you won't get more time with him but you will always be his mother and he's with your other babies taking care of them I'm sure.
I can't wait to hear your birth story and see lots of pictures. I'm not on here much but I hope some are on FB also! You are mothering others!!! Congrats!
