These stabs at people indirectly is pretty immature for someone who's been out of high school for over a decade. Now I know why other boards ran you off.

& you're right he is my favorite, its because he cant talk back yet. The other kids are totally mine & a little on the mouthy side.
I've mentioned a few times that we've also got a 10 yo. I have no idea if the comment was also directed at me because there's no ticker for him (and really, it wouldn't bother me if it was), but honestly, the only reason I have the girls in my sig is so I don't have to type the ages into every single post I type.
I do not participate in any board about older children, so I don't feel it's relevant. Also, I prefer to keep my sig small.
I'm just saying, maybe there's a rhyme and reason to why people do the things they do and it's probably not because they have a child they love more (or less) than the others.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but are you sure it was directed toward you? I have the Valentines pics at the bottom of my screen and didn't take any offense to it. I thought that was the point of the UO thing.
On that same note - I also still have "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" as my ringtone on my phone and will for the entire year because Christmas is my favorite. I also listen to xmas music all year long. I get the side eye for that all the time. hehe
No fuel added here, she's been doing this all week. She claimed she was going to leave & didnt, instead she's doing stuff like this because she has the mentality of a child. If I took the time I bet I could find at least 5 posts like this one that she's poking the bear & expecting not to get bitten.
In law school, we learned about something called "willful blindness". She is exerting that right now. Clearly still posting, yet ignoring this post.
Ugh...who the eff cares what's in someones siggy? You could have a picture of someone hanging dong, and I wouldn't give a rat's a-hole about it. Though I think that would be against the TOU :P

Hey we didnt start this, yet again. I cant stand it when people do crap like this & then ignore the fallout & send in their friends to defend them instead. If she wants to say something say it. Ignoring this post only further proves all of our points about how insanely immature she is.
I doubt it. That would allow for judgment of the inconsistencies.
I've never read her story, but as someone with a legal background, I have never heard of someone being able to (legally) adopt via text message.
MaineMommy reminds me of a girl who rode the same bus I did in high school. She was always trying to pick fights with people because it was her identity - the girl who beats people up & doesn't let anyone get away with saying any crap about her. I just roll my eyes about it and move on (and usually read the posts - just because they're entertaining
).
FWIW, I could not care less about H2H. I'm pretty sure she and I stand on opposite sides of the fence on every issue imaginable. From the outside looking in, I don't think the comment about signatures was directed at Mainemommy. But I do think it's funny that you posted to "defend" yourself on something so completely lame.

Honestly, I wasn't responding b/c it only fuels the fire of drama. I just think it's silly to put christmas or other holiday pics in your siggy and not change them... it's a freaking UO for crying out loud. I didn't judge anyone, didn't talk trash about anyone... just said an unpopular opinion.
About judging or questioning my adoption story, it's just insane. I would challenge anyone to find a single inconsistency in my story, there is none.
And... to the lady with the law background who made the comment about adoption not happening through a text message, of course it doesn't. I received a text from my cousin at 10:30 at night saying she knew of a lady having a baby that wasn't planning to parent that baby, was I interested. She then gave me the phone number of the birth grandma and birth mother, both of whom I talked to over the next 50 days.... that's how my adoption happened. I mean this in the nicest way but seriously ladies I do NOT want to have everything I say picked apart, it's silly. We all were BLESSED with babies that happened to be born in July, lets just focus on that!! It's almost spring, we're all moms, isn't that enough to make us try to just coexist?

I don't mean to be rude... but seriously, of all people to question the authenticity of my adoption story when you haven't even read it?!? It's on the birth stories board, if you would care to... of all the things to be called a liar on, this is one that is the most hurtful. My story is unusual but it is NOT impossible, miracles do happen!

Oh it wasnt just that, there has been post after post made by her taking obvious stabs at people who have come back to post in the last week, those were just the examples the people who posted after me pointed out.
here's the thing... I don't start drama. I made a comment that you chose to take personally, maybe you have self esteem issues and think everything negative is pointed at you? YOu can ask anyone here that has posted regularly in the last few months if I have ever started drama and it's a big ol' no.
I JUST don't get how my adoption can be brought into every argument that someone wants to start. She is my daughter, her story is unusual, but I wish that you guys would leave it alone... attack me personally, sure I don't mind, but please leave my sweet girl out of it.

I don't post a lot unless I get really riled up, but this is ridiculous!
It has been so refreshing lately having this board be positive (or at least no callouts for random menial crap), but then one roll call and bam! The ones who liked to start fights came running back in.
Hope, you probably didn't have the pleasure (snort) of learning mainemommy's ways like the rest of us did during our pregnancies and I am sorry you have to catch up like this. She also reminds me of a girl from school, the bored bully. If she hadn't found your post in UO, she would have found someone else to call out because she finds it entertaining. In her mind, she is livening this place up. In reality, she is encouraging others to beat you up as well just so they don't end up on her bad side, too.
Questioning your adoption story is at best psycho and at worst completely reprehensible. You have done something amazing for your daughter and everyone around you. My dad was adopted by a woman with a kind heart like your own. Without her, I would not exist nor would my brother and our respective kids. You have impacted generations. I am glad to see you stand up to our resident bully as it will be a lesson you will have to teach your daughter.
I have never seen you stir anything up, neither here or on the SAHM board or whereever. They just find a horse and beat it for a while. I wish ignoring it would make it go away. On the plus side, maybe by putting myself square in their sights, it will draw some fire for you. You just keep being the good person you seem to be and let them drown in their own angry, sad, destructive lives.
