Any tips to get him to blow his nose? Jacob has a runny nose right now with a bit of a loose cough. No fever or anything. It would be awesome if he could figure out how to blow his nose. We show him ourselves (we have the same cold). But when he puts the tissue to his nose, he makes the blowing sound from his mouth and says, "All done." Meanwhile, there's snot all over his face. Sigh...
Re: How do I teach a toddler to blow his nose?
that's a great idea!!!!
I like the straw idea! I'm not much help, we got really lucky with this. My husband & I had colds right after each other and my son thought it was hilarious when we blew our noses and just started doing it himself. He's been really good at it since he started. I think once he did it once he loved that he was able to clear his nose and now just grabs tissues and blows his nose all the time even when there is nothing to get out.
My husband likes to be over-dramatic and my son was mostly trying to make the same noise Dada was making when he figured it out.

She was obssessed with the big bad wolf, so we told her to blow like the wolf but through her nose while making a funny face..that worked for us but I like the straw idea better...wish I knew that before..
