So 2 1/2 yrs ago I had my son and used my breast pump a few times.. things didnt work out I put it away thinking I would clean it some other day and that other day is 2 1/2 yrs later...soooo my question is can I just boil the pieces and parts or is that not clean enough? or would I have to buy all new parts and tubing?
Re: breast pump cleaning questions
This is what I would do too
I agree. I just bought new flanges and membranes from AJ Wholesale on Amazon - really reasonable prices and no shipping costs.
That is what you should do. I have used my pump with both of my LO's and re-used the parts but bought new tubing and membranes. There is also a place near me called "The Care Connection" and "Baby's Sweet Beginnings" both are owned by lactation consultants and they will professionally clean your pump for a fee. They will also test the pump to make sure that it is working properly. I didn't have them clean the pump, but they did test it for me to make sure the suction was working right.
That kind of place sounds awesome! How's you find out about it? Recommendation? Google search? I need to see if I can find one in my area!
