First Ob Appt.!

I had my first official OB appointment today (I am not counting the one where I filled out paperwork). It was great! The doctor was really nice, I know he won't be the one I see every time because it is a large practice. He took a lot more time with us than I thought he would. Thankfully I passed the 1 hr glucose test I took two weeks ago. I really did not think I had passed based of how I felt after drinking that nasty drink. We also got to do another ultrasound. Baby looks great measuring right on track with a strong heartbeat. It is so cool that you can see a distinguishable head, arms, and legs at this point. 

I go back in three weeks for another check, and I will also be doing the first trimester screening (basically just because I want to see the baby again) around the same time. The OB also wants me to have a consult with an MFM because of my Crohn's and because I am on Lovenox. He seemed very concerned/confused about why my RE put me on Lovenox, and it sounds like he doesn't want me to stay on it. The RE said I should continue it until 28 weeks. I would prefer to stay on it simply because I feel like it is a big part of why I got pregnant, and I don't want to risk anything with this pregnancy.

    Sounds great! I hope you and your OB can come to a decision you're comfortable with regarding the Lovenox. Maybe he could discuss it with your RE?

    Great news. I hope you can get some answers from the MFM on the meds.

    Congrats on a great appt and seeing your LO again!  Hopefully you can come to a good resolution on the lovenox.

    Happy to hear LO is doing well! Yay for a great appt! GL with the meds! I'm on lovenox too and even though it sucks, it's reassuring to have it.

    Glad you had a good appointment.  Hopefully between your OB and MFM they can come up with a decision about your Lovenox!

    3/06 - m/c 1st baby at 6 weeks 
    5/06 -2nd baby had no heartbeat at 14 wks.
    D&E - Bled out. Blood transfusions. Week in ICU - Cheated Death!
