3rd Trimester

New pain

So I must have had an easy pregnancy w/ DD because I'm having not so fun symptoms for the first time with this LO. I discovered RLP two months ago and it comes and goes. I know what lightning crotch is, but this is a new pain. Anyone feel like they have been kicked in the crotch or almost like someone is trying to split you in half by pulling each leg apart? It's like a dull ache & it hurts like hell. Please tell me I have company in my misery. Tylenol and warm baths are not helping.

Re: New pain

  • OHH you have some company!! I have had this for about a month or so now. Its very painful. It takes me several minutes to get out of bed and the pain goes into my legs as well. Does it feel like all your muscles in that area are also strained?? The worst is trying to roll over in bed and even sit up. But it definately hurts really bad to walk. (like my legs are trying to go in separate directions)

  • Yes, exactly. Have you mentioned it to your doctor? Does anything help you?

  • Nothing helps! My dr is saying that its normal. Not so common but still normal and its not going to go away until after delivery. I now have 1 position only that I can actually sleep in and it still hurts like he!! to move when I wake up. He said its symphasis pubis pain . This is definately the worst . If you do find something that works let me know please.
  • I have had RLP for a while now but it only hurt around the tummy area. Since last week, I'm now feeling it the pelvic area. It kills to just walk 5 feet. I'm seeing my Dr. today and hopefully she will have some pain relieving ideas. I have no idea how I'm going to make it through the rest of this pregnancy w/ this pain! If I hear of any good remedies, I will let you know!
