1st Trimester

Every pregnancy is different, right?

I'm about 8 weeks PG and yesterday noticed some brown discharge when I wipe (sorry for the TMI). There's a little bit of red today, but again, only when I use the restroom. With DD, I didn't have any spottng or discharge and I had morning sickness by now. My first appointment isn't until Thursday and I'm now super worried, despite knowing that some spotting is normal. If I was MCing, wouldn't I be bleeding a lot and not just spotting?

Re: Every pregnancy is different, right?

  • A family friend had a regular flow like her period all through her second pregnancy.  It's weird, it's nerve-wracking but its normal.

I hope you get good news on Thursday!!

  • I would call your doctor and let them know, just to be safe.  It's normal for some, but my doctor has always said to call if I had spotting.

  • I had exactly what you are describing a few weeks ago with this pregnancy (lasted just a couple days), but nothing of the sort with my first two.  Yes every pregnancy can be different!

  • They told me only to worry if it's bright red, heavy like a period, or accompanied by cramping. That bing said, it can't hurt to call your doctor.

This, exactly.  I'm one of those people who always calls!
