I'm sick

in 1st Trimester
i caught double pink eye from my 2 year old.  it sucks.  i have drops from her pedi but i know i can't use them.  i'll call my doc tomorrow to see if their is anything i can take.

    When my DS got it a few months ago (he was 15 months) the pedi told me he would give us enough drops so that if DH or I got it we could use them too. I think the drops for pink eye are the same no matter what your age.

    i read about it and it is a category c pregnancy drug so i wont be taking it.

    My DH had pink eye a few weeks ago and while he ended up getting drops the following herbal stuff gave him immediate relief: Calendula, chamomile, fennel and/or eyebright herbal teas used to make compresses for your eyes.  He said it gave him some relief while we were waiting to get him into a doc.  Hope this helps!

    Okay, I feel dumb now. I was not pregnant at the time and really didn't even think about pregnancy being a reason not to use eye drops. Glad I haven't gotten pink eye and glad I saw this post. I would have been the dummy to use the drops.

    It gets in your blood stream even though it is just drops.  I had a calcium deposit removed from the lid of my eye when I was bf dd and I was told not to take the drops my eye doctor gave me.  Its one of those drugs that they have not studied so they don't know for sure what the effects could be.  I probably would not have been as alert if the other situation had not come up while bf.
