1st Trimester

Sasquatch is alive...

and living in my mirror :P.

Seriously- my eyebrows are untamable, my chin hair maintenance needs have skyrocketed, and I now have peach fuzz all over my jawline.

When they told me that prenatal vitamins would give me luscious locks, I didn't think they meant I'd be able to braid my face.

Anyone else have this problem, or am I alone in my Yeti-ness?

  • You are hilarious and I love this post.  Like, for real I do... can I put this on as my fav quotes on FB????Yes

I don't take the regular prenatals... I take flintstones... so no weird hair growth for me... sorry yeti.  But I still love ya!!!  Wink

  • Hair growth happens during pregnancy... My sister always had the peach fuzz all over her face when she was pregnant. I know you are not alone, but thankfully I have not joined in the yeti party. :b

  • I literally told my husband the other night that I felt like a fat sasquatch!!  My eyebrows are completely out of control and my leg hair is growing so fast...I literally shave my legs and can practically see the hair regrowing as soon as I get out of the shower!  I think part of it is the prenatals and part of it is that your body naturally loses less hair when you're pregnant!!
  • Yes!!  I actually started doing electrolysis treatments on my face almost a year ago (way before I got pregnant) because I have a lot of blond facial hair. I went in for my appointment today and my electrologist was floored.  She said something to the effect of, "I don't know what kind of vitamin you're taking, but wow, your hair is really coming in at full force."  Ugh.  Glad I at least started this process before I got pregnant, can't imagine what I would look like otherwise!

  • Totally feel your pain and appreciate your sense of humor!  I can shave my legs and they still feel prickly when I'm done!  I guess this is just something we will suffer through to have our little bundles of cuteness!
