My name is Taylor, and I was directed here from 2nd Tri. Recently a single mama, not by choice, and pregnant with my second. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies and chatting a bit more.
Welcome Taylor. The women here are so helpful and full of great advice. I am also expecting my second as a single mommy (2u2) so I can closely relate to you. Let us know if there is anything we can help you with, or even if you need to vent once in a while.
My husband and I were married for 2.5 years, and one day (Nov 20) he asked for a divorce out of the blue... He said he never really loved me, never wanted the life we had, and couldn't keep living a lie. I thought we were really happy up until that day; I actually used to brag to others about how little we fought. I couldn't believe it, and neither of our families could either. I was, and still am, in love with him, and I tried desperately for 6 weeks to save our marriage. He was very abusive during those 6 weeks, and he finally walked out Dec 31. I found out I was pregnant with our second Jan 12; at first he said he needed to come home, but ultimately decided not to.
(This is all so abbreviated, but those are the highlights...)
ETA: He filed two weeks ago, and I will be responding next week. We've been able to agree on most terms and hope to move forward as quickly as possible. I've been in therapy, and it's taken a full two months to finally accept the situation.
I'm sorry to hear this! Going through a pregnancy alone is .. well LONELY. I don't think many people who aren't in this situation realize it. You need so much support and I think all single mamas are warriors! I'm a little farther along than you but still in the same boat! Feel free to reach out to me anytime. I don't always check my messages constantly but I'll always respond.
Re: Hello, I'm a newb
Thank you both for the warm welcome!
