XP: Q from IF board - Bleeding after a Pos. FRER (FET Cycle)

Hi Ladies, I haven't formally introduced myself from the IF board yet b/c I've been waiting for my beta's to be run to be safe. I just recently completed an FET cycle after a cancelled IVF cycle. The dilemma is just last evening I got a positive on an FRER at 5dp5dt (no trigger in my system). Well just this afternoon, at 6dp5dt (3 wks, 4 days pregnant), I just started spotting blood along with the continued AF cramps I have been experiencing on & off. I called my IVF nurse fearing this could be chemical. She told me the bleeding was normal & to stop taking aspirin & to go back on bed rest. However, I am very concerned & feel like AF cramps combined w/spotting blood is not normal post FET. I should add, this is the very first time I have made it to a transfer (last time I did not make it) so I don't have any other IVF/FET cycles to compare it to.

So my question is for the IVF & FET ladies: Have any of you also had bleeding this early on and have things turn out to be okay? Thank you for all your help! I really appreciate it!

I'm an IUI girl, but I got a BFP 9 dpiui and then at 3w5d, I had spotting. It only lasted that one day, but turned out to be nothing to worry about. Hope that is true for you, too!

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I did have quite a bit of bleeding early on, but was told that as long as it isn't clotty or accompanied by cramps, that everything was likely fine. It tapered off within a day, but came back one more time a few days later. Beyond that, I experienced lighter spotting for the better part of 3 weeks. It was so nervewracking! But they did see me right away to check on baby (even though I was only just at the 6 week mark at that point) and saw that it was due to a subchorionic hematoma. Once it resolved after the second heavy bleed, it did not return *knock on wood*. I truly hope you are just experiencing something like this instead of a CP, but if they are watching your betas, they might be able to give you some clarity.

I spotted a lot in the beginning. I got a postive test at 12dpo and started bleeding at 14dpo (with cramps). I was sure it was over. However, it lasted a couple days then stopped. We saw a HB at 6w5d and I have had off and on spotting pretty much ever since. So far, everything is still going well. Good luck!

Kelnyc ~ My bleeding isn?t clotty but def. accompanied by AF cramps. You are right, it is so nerve-racking!! I hope this only stays for the day & leaves. On Sunday they will begin watching my beta?s. I called today to try to get in earlier but my clinic won?t run beta?s until 11dp5dt. Thank you so much for sharing that with me!!

Byrne15 ~ You?re describing exactly what I?m having (the bleeding & cramps) around roughly the same dpo. Your experience is very refreshing to hear as well! Thank you!!

I did IUI, but I also had bleeding at about the same time. Mine was heavy enough (with some clots) that I never bothered to test, and went in for cd3 baseline for a new cycle. I found out that day that I was pregnant, and the bleeding lasted another 2-3 days after that.
