How long before stopping nursing to start change process?
I have no knowledge of weaning, and plan to consult with a lactation specialist. In the meantime, would anyone be willing to share information about steps they took in advance of stopping nursing?
We have been nursing for 9 months. I do not want to stop, yet just learned that I need to in order to go through an IVF process to try for number 2.

Do you have a deadline? I'd drop a feeding every few days until you can stop completely. Even then you may have some discomfort. I haven't weaned yet so hopefully others can give you more info! Also:
