Sore after being checked for dilation?

Yesterday my doctor checked to see if I was dilated at all (since I was two weeks early with DD), and all last night and today I have been kind of sore up there... I don't think the "lightening crotch" as some people have named it helps... It literally stops me in my tracks!


Anyone else experience this after being checked?  I was never checked during my first pregnancy because it happened so fast, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

    Yes, both times I was sore for the next day. After the 2nd check, I even had a little bit of spotting, both are normal side effects.

    Yep, sore is normal.  I've also been checked twice, tight as a drum both times, and both times I felt very so for the day or so after.

    With my last pregnancy I was very sore after every time they checked me for a day or two and I always had spotting. I'm hoping to not be checked so much this time since I have a nice mw who doesn't do extra things just because.

    While I was being checked, it hurt so bad I teared up. Then was sore the rest of the day. Sounds normal.
