Looking for a MN for Rhett

We're team green, but starting to think about names. We are not even close to narrowing down girl names LOL. But, we've agreed on a boy's first name. We have an atrociously long German last name (.......berger), so we're trying to come up with a short MN for Rhett.

Hmmmm, even with an 'atrociously long German last name', LOL, I like a two-syllable MN with Rhett. (I'm not a fan of a one-syllable FN, one-syllable MN combo no matter what the LN is.) Also, I like classic names with Rhett. Here are some thoughts:
Rhett Michael
Rhett Thomas
Rhett Douglas

I agree. I really like 2-syllable middle names with a 1-syllable fn.

My sister named her little boy Rhett and decided on Joseph as a mn. I kept pushing for James so we could always make Chapelle Show references around him (since it sounds like Rick James), but that was a no go. Haha

We're also team green, and going with Rhett if LO is a boy...and we also have a very German LN! Small world...

our MN is Onesimus, which is meaningful to us, but probably a bit much for most.

FWIW, I have a medium-length FN with a long MN and a super-long german LN, and it never bothered me. I use my MN so infrequently that it's never been an issue.

Ladies, you have outdone yourselves! Thank you for all the suggestions! And I totally agree with those that suggested going with a 2-syllable MN Yes It was sounding very weird when only using 1-syllable FNs with 1-syllable MNs... For reference, our DD's name is Heidi Elise and our DS's name is Brooks Nolan, so most of your suggestions go well with their names too!
