3rd Trimester

Anyone else stressing out?

I swear I never relax on the weekends..I'm either running errands, cleaning, etc..This past weekend I started my childbirth class--it was from 10:30-1:30pm..Then went to BRU to finish my registry (sigh of relief as my family was pressuring me to finish as the invites go out this week)..The nursery is painted but my DH is in the process of putting down a wood floor. And I wish he would just hire someone as he has no experience but is a fast learner actually..Plus he's not the most organized person on the earth and it makes me crazy to live with clutter. Yesterday I did all the laundry, changed the sheets, cooked dinner, cleaned the bathroom, straightened up the living room--all while dealing with abdominal pain..Seeing my OB today but I swear I'm so tired of not relaxing and it's tough for me to just let go and not do anything..

Re: Anyone else stressing out?

  • My DH is the same way and he is driving me nuts. Sounds like you are nesting! Maybe you should get a massage.

  • I had my stress-out moment around 33 weeks. I'm just at a point now that if it's not done, it's not going to be. I'm so exhausted! lol

  • Thanks for posting guys!

Bri-I just talked to my good friend and she said whatever I can't get done to just "let it go"..as far as the floor and other things my DH needs to take care of I need to let him deal with it and if I have to the baby and I will work around him..

  • Oh my gosh, I was the same way a couple weeks ago.  We are doing a total master bathroom renovation and DH is doing most of the work.  They just don't understand that the chaos of making changes to the home at this stage is enough to send a pregnant woman over the edge!!!  Hang in there.  I finally see an end in sight for the renovation, but dang, there were a couple weeks when I just wanted to strangle DH!  LOL
  • Try not to stress you still have plenty of time...This weekend I just got DD into her "Big Girl Room" and finally started cleaning out the nursery and getting it ready for DD #2...once everything falls into place things will happen quickly....Relax, to much stress is not good for you or your LO :)

  • Big time!  I have a 21 month old, so it's super hard for me to get much done on the weekends when also taking care of her, mostly by myself since DH is usually working.  The baby's bedroom is still unpainted and still has some non-baby things to clear out, none of the gear (PNP, swing, clothes) have been brought out of storage or sorted, and our house is generally a disaster zone.  Add to that the fact that I'm going into the busy season at work so I'll likely be working overtime and several weekends over the next couple of months and I feel like I'll never be ready.  Gah!

  • I'm 30 weeks and feel exactly the same way. Our nursery is pretty much done, minus the washing and putting clothes away, sheets on the crib etc. I didn't start my hospital bag yet. I know I still have some time but just the thought of not having stuff ready makes me nervous. Plus I'm sooooo tired alll the time but yet I can't seem to stop doing laundry and cleaning the house all the time. As far as DH, I think doing renovations is his way of nesting. He will start looking at wall and think it need sto be re-painted or the wallpaper needs to come off , this and that. This just makes me more stressed out.
