I'm Kristen, 30, from Pittsburgh-ish. I'm a SAHM who's planning on going back to school either this summer or next to finish my bachelor's, then hoping to continue on to a Master's. I'd like to go into marriage/family counseling. DH is 34, and is a student pastor in the UMC while working on his Master's of Divinity. Ryan is our first child and due to DH's insane allergies, have no pets.
Married 08.19.06 ~ DS 9.30.11 ~ Baby #2 EDD 11.28.18
I've been a lurker for the past year. Finding this board very helpful in keeping with little one's milestones etc... My husband and I have been together 13 years, married 7 this year, and finally blessed with our angel on October 19th. We're in Jersey and we're both 33 and hope ttc again in a year. I'm a graphic designer and going back to work this week. Grateful to be employed but I wish I could stay home.

This is fun! I'm even learning more about the regs!
I'm Lauren. I'm 25, MH is 27 and we had our little girl, Evelyn, on her due date on October 15th. She is our first, except for our fur baby, Pendleton, who is a German Shephard-Sharpei mix we adopted from the ASPCA. MH and I have know each other for 4 years and have been married 2 (I had to think about that one!). He is in the Marine Corps and currently deployed. I have my Master's in Elementary Education and I was a preschool teacher before this (my situation is my like the OP's!) but I am now I stay at home mom who blogs on the side! We live in the San Diego area like alexandrahope (who I now know IRL!).
Evelyn is a good baby- her first 3 months were a breeze but things have gotten increasingly harder after daddy left. We are just trying to get through the days right now and hopefully get back into our groove soon.

I'm Megan, live in Missouri and just turned 27 this week MH is 26.We've been together for 8 years, married for almost 4. I work at an engineering/construction firm doing accounting work. Love my job, but not being away from my baby girl for 12 hours a day! I'm hoping DH will find his "calling" so I can work less (or not at all, ha!).
Layla was born 10/4 and life has been quite an adventure since! She was an easy baby at first, but is now realizing naps are for whimps. I'd love to have another baby in a few years, but she will probably be our one and only.
We also have 2 big ol' labs, Charlie and Ginger, who don't get enough attention anymore.
And...most importantly...I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy
Another lurker coming out of hiding. I'm Hallie, and I'm 22 from Kansas. MH and I have been together for 5 years and married for 2. Our daughter Adelaide was born on September 30, 10 days before her due date. We've also got 2 furbabies: a formerly obese corgi named Jack and a Chi-weenie named Eleanor. I am currently in my last semester of undergrad, finishing up my Bachelors of Social Work. I'm currently doing my practicum (internship) at our local Area Agency on Aging, and I LOVE working with the old folks! I just quit my job as a clerk at a big financial company. So now I can finally be the SAHM I've wanted to be (except for my 16-hour/week practicum).
DH and I are both 33 and our five-year wedding anniversary is in June. I am a long-suffering graduate student and am defending my PhD in Biology in April and hope to pass and graduate in May. I plan on taking the summer off to enjoy baby E, who was born on 10/19, and then take it from there on the job front. Even with all my education, I will never make as much money as DH, so we will stay put in the midwestern city we live in, limiting my job opportunities. I'm okay with that. We have two crazy birds and two of the best dogs ever- a pit mix and an American bulldog mix. They will forever be my first babies.

Hi all, I'm Papps (or now know as PappsMcgee)- Married to my husband for 2 1/2 years, together for 6. We have our 4 mo daughter, and two cats in our home. I live in Oregon, though a transplant from the Bay Area California
Papps, I didn't realize that you live in Oregon. Whereabouts? I live in Washington State.
Hello there, I'm Cory. I just turned 34 last Thursday, but I feel like I'm 13. I am a teacher, and it's been weird not to work this year. We'll see if I teach next year, it's hard not making my own money. DH and I have been together for 11 years, married for 2. Carson was born on Oct. 5th, and we've been having a blast together. There are most certainly ups and downs, but the positive outweighs the negative. I live in Washington State, about 45 minutes south of Seattle.
Due to west coast time, I always feel like I come late to these posts and such and I don't get to participate as much as I can
My SN is derived from my last name. DD Lillian was born on October 13th and I've been hanging around TB since my BFP. I'm a southern girl at heart, but for the last few years I've been living in California (SoCal and Bay Area) following DH as he slowly moves up the academia ladder. Living in Cali has turned us into progressive, crunchy granola eating,
tree hugging, recycling hippies (well, at least to our friends back in
the south). We've been together for 8 years and married for 5. I'm currently SAH with DD but will probably try to find PT work later in the year. It's nice to see so many friendly new faces.
Hi I'm Colleen, 30, from the Boston area. H is 35 and we have been together for almost 6 years, married for 2.5. We have one DD, Viv, who is 4.5 months. I went to schoolfor Exercise Physiology and I currently teach health education and attend grad school to get my master's in education.
Hello! I'm Kelly. I'm 29 and live in Charleston SC but am originally from VA. DH and I will be married 3 years next month, and Lucy is our first. She was a surprise pregnancy, but we always knew we wanted to be parents at some point, and I am loving being a mom. I would love to have one more pregnancy if I'm lucky enough to be able to, and then I hope to adopt a child as well. We have two fur babies. Winston and Boris are our English bulldogs. They're very loveable but can be huge PITAS as well. I'm a SAHM, but before I stayed home I worked in bridal fashion. Not curing cancer, but I absolutely love bridal and brides and hope to work in the industry again at some point or to open a retail store that sells bridal gowns here in Charleston.

I'm Amy, 34, and live in the Atlanta suburbs. MH and I have been married for 6 years and LO is our first- born 10/8 (which was our anniversary). I have a political science degree from UGA, but I work in sales. We have a cat who's nearly 15.
Hey! My name is Laney, my friends and family call me Poopers. I'm 30, same as H. Married three years on March 14. First child, daughter Chloe born Nov 3. From Florida and lived here most my life. I work for an insurance company and I fuuuuucking hate my job!

Me: PCOS, Hashimotos, Blocked Left Tube
BFP #1: Maya my little miracle was born 10/22/11
BFP #2: After multiple failed rounds of Clomid, Femara, Injectables, and 2 IUIs, we are cautiously expecting twins(!!) on 10/15/14 thanks to IVF #1.
I don't even live on the west coast and I always feel like I'm the last at the party. I'm Stardust. I'm 25 and my DH is 27. We've been together for 6 years, married for 2. Hadley is our first child, and she's been amazing. She was born 10/3, which was 3 weeks before she was expected. I want 3 by the time I'm 30, and I'm kind of convinced we're going to have all girls. That's a story for another time. We live in N. Florida/Lower Alabama area. I have some hippie like tendencies. I'm a speech pathologist and I love what I do. DH is a teacher.
I'm uberbitter. Mr. uberbitter and I have been married 2.5 years, together for 8. I work for the IT department at a large university where I get to work with college students, and I really enjoy it. Our three crazy cats hate DS at the moment for stealing so much attention, but they'll probably love him when he's old enough to give them affection. He's our first child and likely to be our only after how difficult his early birth was for me.
In light of the Steelers fans, I'll mention that though I don't live there now my family is from the Pittsburgh area and we are all still Steelers fans through and through!

Hey Everyone! I just came out of lurking yesterday and I feel like I always read everything late! I'm 25, soon to be 26, and live in Illinois. I worked for a group of surgeons and now am a SAHM. I love being home with DS everyday, although I do miss some adult interaction occasionally! DH is 28 and we've been married since November 2010 and together for 10 years this year! We have two furbabys - a poodle/schnauzer mix and a mutt who thinks he's a big dog, but both are around 20 pounds.
Miles is our first child, born 10/16. He is almost always a great baby, but has his moments! He has just started smiling more and laughing a lot which is so much fun! We plan to have 3-4 children and will be ready to start TTC #2 about any time! It's been nice getting to know everyone through these posts and hopefully I won't lurk as much anymore
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I was out and about all weekend and it's taking me awhile to catch up on TB.
I'm Erin, 28, from NH. I teach elementary school, but my husband and I are digging ourselves into debt so I can stay home this year (and loving every minute of it!). My little peanut Caleb was born eight days late on October 18th. We've had lots of ups and downs with trouble breastfeeding, weight gain, raynaud's of the nipple, colic, and such, but it has been the best nineteen weeks of my life. It's going too fast!
I love to read, walk, snowshoe, xcountry ski, hike, go to the beach, play board/card games, watch movies, go to concerts, play tennis, cook, and try to be crafty. We have two cats. My husband and I met in college and have been together for nine years and married for four and half. My husband is from the Buffaolo area so half our family is a good ten hours away. He's a big outdoorsman and currently spending lots of time sapping!
That's all I can think of at the moment. Now I have to find time to read through the rest of these and get to know everyone better!

Hello, I'm Mrs. Mo and I'm an alcoholic. Oh, wait....wrong place (all kidding aside, I'm not really an alcoholic).
DH and I have been together since 2006 (I'm 31, DH is 33). It took 2 years of TTC (with failed IUIs) to finally do IVF & create DD. Thankfully, it (IVF) worked the first time. My hat goes off to all those ladies who have had to do it multiple times. We are currently TTC#2, since it took so long/much the first time. All financial reasons aside, I do not know if I can do IVF again. It was just really emotionally draining (not to mention the pain from all the needles as well as the ER/ET).
Both DH & I work FT (I'm an accountant & analyst for my company's benefits department), so DD goes to daycare. We currently own a condo but are hoping to get a house in the next few years, though. We have 2 dogs, both rescues: One is from St. Croix (USVI) and the other is from a local shelter.
"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all." -- Dale Carnegie "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." --Thomas A. Edison
We live in Alberta, Canada and before I had DS, I worked for an oilfield service company. I'm currently still at home on my mat leave, but once it's over, I'm planning on staying at home until DS and any future children go to school.
Hubby and I have been together 8 years. Our son Finn Alexander was born October 19 and is an awesome baby! He's made this FTM thing pretty easy on me so far. We have a very spoiled cat and beagle and I have 2 horses. That's pretty much the highlights!
I work for Schlumberger. Which one do/did you work for?
Since I am here I will play too. I grew up and still live in Colorado. I have been 25 for 6 years. I had DD1 almost 16 years ago, I was 15. I have known DH for 11 years and been married for 2. DD2 was born on Oct 4th and is a very easy mello happy baby. We have a little white fuzzy dog, Cetus and a koi pond that currently is home to 4 smallish koi and a very fat Red Fan Tail goldfish.
I lived in Norway when I was a Schlumberger wife, before they sold off the drill bits company to Reed-Hycalog (now NOV).
DH and I have been together for 3+ years, but got married June 30th last year. We live in L.A. and I'm a SAHM for a while longer until I get back to school to finish my psychology degree. LO was born Sept 28th and he is best thing in the whole world :0)
