Hi all, I am a semi-lurker coming out of hiding. I was wondering if everyone could give me a brief bio so I can get to know you all better (where your from, your LO(s), career, pets, age, etc....) I am trying to be more active on the board and it would help to know everyone a bit better. Thanks!

I'm Jenn, 28, from Buffalo, NY. I'm a preschool teacher in a daycare, which is nice because Luca is right across the hall from me and I get to go nurse him during the day. I actually have my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education but don't see myself ever working in a school district, so I am over qualified for my job and should be making way more money so I can pay off my student loans, but I love my job. I'v actually considered opening a home daycare.

Luca is my first child, he was born 10/9, and he is an angel. He is such a great baby.... I really got spoiled. I've been with my husband for 8 years, married a year and a half. We have 2 spoiled beagles and a rabbit.

Can't really think of anything else, but I look forward to learning about everyone!

Oh he is adorable!

Im Bekah (kind of obvious from the screenname, I guess), I have two sons, Jack & Luke. I am a SAHM, before I had kids I was a proofreader for legal transcripts, but I went to school for Behavioral Science. Ive known MH for 8 yrs, married for 4.5, we have one dog and Jack has a goldfish that is somehow still alive even though I frequently forget to feed it.

We live in Alberta, Canada and before I had DS, I worked for an oilfield service company. I'm currently still at home on my mat leave, but once it's over, I'm planning on staying at home until DS and any future children go to school.

Hubby and I have been together 8 years. Our son Finn Alexander was born October 19 and is an awesome baby! He's made this FTM thing pretty easy on me so far. We have a very spoiled cat and beagle and I have 2 horses. That's pretty much the highlights!

Hi Jenn, I'm Nicole. I'm 25, MH is 27, and we live near Allentown, PA. We've been together 6.5 years, married 1.5. Gavin is my first child also, born 10/22. I have my masters in social work and work full-time in a hospital on the maternal-child health units but I'm a wanna-be SAHM. We have a 2 year old Lhasa-Apso mix named Sadie.

Glad you have an easy baby! G was a challenge in the beginning (I think it was his reflux) but he's mellowing out now :]

I'm Maura. We live down in Dallas, Texas. I was a curriculum writer for a school district but now I'm a SAHM. I also teach Irish dancing on the side. E was born Oct 1 and she has been an easy baby so far. DH and I will have been married 5 years this June, and we have 2 beagle fur babies too. They are holy living terrors, but we love them to death.

I work for Schlumberger. Which one do/did you work for?

Since I am here I will play too. I grew up and still live in Colorado. I have been 25 for 6 years. I had DD1 almost 16 years ago, I was 15. I have known DH for 11 years and been married for 2. DD2 was born on Oct 4th and is a very easy mello happy baby. We have a little white fuzzy dog, Cetus and a koi pond that currently is home to 4 smallish koi and a very fat Red Fan Tail goldfish.

Hi - I'm Creedon. I'm 31, same as DH. We've been together for 11 yrs, married almost 3 yrs. I'm a manager at a large consulting company in Boston (I go back to work in less than a month!), but I grew up in NY (mid-Hudson Valley). DS is 4.5 months and my little munchkin.

We have a dog and a cat. I'm still on mat leave but I work for a drug and alcohol program for oilfield workers. I have an Ed degree that I intend on never using.

Hi! I'll be married for 5 years in exactly 2 weeks- yay! My son, Hunter, was born in April '09. My daughter, Amelia, was born October 5. I'm a SAHM, but before I was a cake decorator (still do private orders). I have 2 degrees- a B.A. in Communication Studies and an A.A. in Baking and Pastry Arts.

Hi, I'm Heather. I've lived pretty much my whole life at the Jersey Shore, which is not really anything like they show on T.V. I'm 33, and have been with DH for 5 years, married for almost 2. I currently SAH, and plan to do that as long as possible. Before having LO I was an M.A. for many years working in reproductive endocrinology. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but wouldn't trade SAH for anything. My DS Wesley is our first child and was born on Oct 20th. So far being a mom has been challenging at times, but overall the greatest thing I've ever done. I love every minute. We have a turtle, cat, and a collie/lab mix named Rocky. He's an old rescue dog who is diabetic and blind, but happy as a clam. We got him when we started dating, and love him to death. I've been lurking since shortly after my BFP, but only recently started posting on the regular. I'm so glad to be here. This board has gotten me through many a sleepless night.

I'm Kelly. I'm also from Buffalo but now I live in Boston. I am a somewhat begrudging SAHM. I am almost 32 but still trying to decide what to do with my life. SO and I have been together for over 10 years. We'll probably get married eventually - I don't want to rush in to anything (hardy har har).

I kinda thought I was missing the maternal gene, but my daughter is awesome and she makes me happy every day.

Its a small company that does existing gas plant and well site maintenance and safety around our area. We have done a fair amount of hot shots for Schlumberger and other frac crews in our area though.

DD was born Oct 20. our miracle baby - we tried for 2 years, had 2 mc's, and MH had testicular cancer and had to have his left testicle removed, all before we had her. We have 2 crazy dogs... I am a SAHM, I substitute teach and make cakes on the side. MH is a Corrections Officer at the county jail. I have a bach. Degree in education & worked as an ed tech/paraprofessional/cued speech transliterator for 4 years... Iplan to go back to school to be an occupational therapist I'm hoping to start grad school soon.

I'm Alex. I'm 26 and currently live in San Diego with my husband and our daughter Adelyn. We have been married 3 1/2 years. My husband is in the Marine Corps but is getting out in just a few months. I am a designer- I do graphic design, interior design and I just recently finished my Master's degree in architecture (7 months preggo lol) and so I am currently in the job hunt. I'm applying to jobs in St. Louis and Boston as that is where we have family, but right now that is going kinda rough.. so not really sure where we will be moving in just a few short months (cue mental breakdown).

I also have a small home based cupcake bakery that I run on the side mostly for fun. My ultimate dream is to open up an actual bakery, but I need to make money to be able to do that first!

Thats awesome. Some days I consider working for a smaller company, but overall I'm happy with the big one. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who works in this feild on here.

Ella was born on Oct 12th and she is our one and only and will probably always remain that way. I'm a SAHM for the most part but I teach aerobics 4-7 times a week. Before E was born I was a logistics coordinator for a large tire company.

I'm Jill and I'm 27. My little munchkin is Claire; she was born September 15. I was due October 8, and decided to stick around here after she made her early appearance. I don't post a whole lot, but this board still feels like home as I've been here since I got my BFP. I live in southern Manitoba, but home is Nova Scotia. Husband is in the army, so we're stranded here on the prairies. Thankfully not for much longer, as we're relocating to New Brunswick in a few months. I'm on mat leave until September, which is when I should be going back to my job as a grade 1 and 2 teacher, but with the move I may decide to be a SAHM a bit longer, maybe until LO is 2.

We've been together for 7 years, married for half of that. We taught overseas (Colombia) for 2 years, but came home to start our family. I use to work for Homeland Security but quit my job to move to FL with DH.. DH lost his job in FL, so we moved back to MA and are currently looking for jobs. I sound so white trash right now, but we are living with my parents to save money for a house... waaahhh Crying

So if anyone knows anyone hiring in the Boston area let me know haha

I'm Rachel. I officially came out of lurkerville last night and I still have to pledge! I'm 29 and my husband is 31. March 9 is our 2 year anniversary. Our LO Maya was Bon October 22. She hardly naps during the day but she loves her night time sleep so I can't complain. We had some reflux issues and milk protein allergy but everything seems to be under control now and we are enjoying her a lot . Currently I'm a SAHM because my job was outsourced before I started maternity leave

I was in HR and IT Recruitment. My husband is from India and we had a big fat Indian wedding in India. We live in Raleigh.

My BFF lives in Halifax and is from Sackville. I live like 2 minutes from New Brunswick, in Maine!

I'm Marissa, 29 (30 in July), from Maryland. I'm a pharmacist at a chain grocery store. There are days that I like my job since I only have to work 3 to 4 days a week but there are days that I really wish I could quit. I hate having to work 12 hour shifts and all the crap that they are now requiring us to do while cutting technician hours.

Darcy, born 10/24, is our first child and so far she has been a fairly easy baby. I have been with MH for 10 years and we have been married for 4 years. We have a 5 year old Shih Tzu that is slowly getting used to Darcy. Luckily he was used to children since my brothers are 9 and 12 and my nieces are 3 and 8 (SIL's daughters) and we have had him since he was 10 weeks old. I'm sure she will be his favorite person once she is eating bananas and cheerios since they are two of his favorite foods.
