Has anyone had a similar experience & may have some advice?
I just confirmed my 3rd consecutive mc- all 3 have been healthy pregnancys, strong heart beats but then all of a sudden at 9wks 1day the heart stops beating
This last pregnancy I was w/an RE at NYU in manhattan I was on crinone and a baby aspirin - I also started treatment w/synthoid b4 getting pregnant bc the RE thought I had a borderline hypothyroid.....I was watched closely, wkly sonos & everything looked perfect until yesterday, even yesterday growth was just fine but there was no heartbeat
I had D&Cs for my first 2 mc & chromosome testing on the fetus showed NO abnormalities....my husband & I had our chromosome testing completed w/no abnormalities/not carriers.....I had thrombo/autoimmune/thyroid blood testing done - everything normal
I also had a sonohystogram done, & they removed a very small polyp & completed yet another d&c
Im nervous to have another d&c toremove this mc....not sure if this is the best option for my uterus.....
My OB thinks I need unconventional treatment, a specialist to put me on a "cocktail of meds" (steroids/lovenox )
If anyone has been in this situation, I'm so sorry & I would appreciate any advice - I wish you all the best, so sorry for all your losses

I'm so sorry for your losses. I don't have any advice as my situation is a bit different, one natural m/c and one ectopic.
That being said, if you're not OK with the treatment your OB suggests, make sure you speak up and say so. GL to you as you move forward!

~*~*Everyone Welcome*~*~
I am so sorry for your losses.
I see an acupuncturist in Manahttan that has worked with miscarriage patients for 25 years. She swears by this doctor - that she has had patients with similar stories such as yours go on to have healthy pregnacies under his care. At the very least, his website is quite informative, maybe something will catch your eye that you can request additional testing for.

(disclaimer - I've only had one loss - and have not gotten to this stage of testing. I am just passing on a reference from a source I trust)

I have/am in your situation... ive had 4... Since your in NY, i would suggest seeing Dr Braverman. He will run the gamut of tests on you (immune/Thrombophilia).. He took about 30 vials from me... He only accepts OON insurance.
My issues are in my sig... and my cocktail of meds is there too lol... at the very least you will get some answers. {{HUGS}}
I don't have any specific advice, because it sounds like a few other ladies have given you some ideas and it sounds like you are already asking great questions, but I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry for your losses.....I have had two and it sucks.
Hugs and I hope you are able to find answers.
Idk, i know A LOT of his patients... about a dozen or so... i know 1 that didnt like him... but you dont have to see him... just have him run his RPL panel...
but I cant think of one unnessary med that any dr could possibly prescribe. That has me a little stumped. Kofinas really only deals with thrombophilia issues... If your RPL comes back that all you need is Lovenox then Kofinas is definitely a good choice.
