March Moms - After seeing these "dares" that go on...PLEASE tell me we are all more sane than that and will not be doing any such thing.....seems like such a waste of time and energy!
I promise when you're not totally over being pregnant, and you've spent the last 5 months being sleep deprived, this kind of thing would be rather funny.
<<<< goes to find a pair of panties that still fits.... puts them on ( don't judge me..it's the weekend LOL) and bunches em up ( _ * _ ) carefully avoiding the impending Hemmies ... oooh .. one point for the OP

I beg to differ.
This. I have had a baby before and never wasted my time on something like this.

I've been severely sleep deprived before, it still didn't cause me to act like a 13-year-old.
And you can pass along to the other October mom's we're not mad. Just curious as to what makes you all act like little kids?
I just read a little of the "pledges" post...apparently they get bonus points if we get our panties in a twist over this. I mean...I get being bored and wanting to just do something mindless, but can't you just play some game limited to your own board? I honestly just don't understand.
Well, FWIW, I don't think any of us really got "upset" or got our panties in a wad. It was pretty easy to determine it was MUD. I just wanted to call them out and let them know it was lame. They think they did us a favor because apparently our posts are "boring." Well, honestly what is interesting to 8-9 month pregnant women and brand new moms is not going to be as interesting to moms of 4 month olds. That's why we all have our own BMB's...
Oh, I know no one got really upset (which is awesome and another reason why I love the March Moms). I was just mentioning that they'll apparently get "points" or something if we were to get angry at them. Ridiculous.
Oh, I figured you knew that. I'm just not sure they do. It sounds like they've already awarded themselves the points. Oh well... If they want to think they're sitting at the "cool table," we'll just go ahead and let them think that...

I want the 5 minutes of my life back that I spent reading this asinine post. Do the "pledges" also get bonus points for not knowing how to use an apostrophe correctly?

Seriously!? Get a life, or a job, or volunteer. I'm sure you can find something productive to do rather than act like a 13yr old idiot on the internet. Don't use your baby and being sleep deprived as an excuse, that is lame.

You are correct. I feel so sorry for you, it must have been horrible. I can't imagine the amount of swelling and sweating (and smelling) that went on. You must have just have felt horrible about yourself. Having lived in Phoenix for seven years (before moving the great twin cities) I feel that I can say you had a sucky, horrible time. It is really so sad.
On the other hand, yes, we are very lucky. We will have our children just in time for spring. We will take them out on walks in our shiny new strollers. We will show them the budding flowers, blue skies, big fluffy clouds, and have them experience the feeling of hope that comes with springtime. The new baby squirrels will befriend our children and the birds will sing Mary Popin's songs to them.
Thank you for the reminder of how truly awesome our life is.

This is made of so much win, I don't even know where to begin! *lol*
Wow, now we're insulting each other like we're 16 again? Awesome. I soooo miss high school!! Can I be part of the cool kids club now too? Wait...no...I take that back. I'd rather stay with the March Mommies who don't have to play immature games with other boards because we have better things to do with our time. Go take care of your kids or something. Or if you're so sleep deprived. Go the f*ck to sleep.

Yeah... For a MUD post, this was really a 9 on the lame-scale... I'm going to abandon ship now and- I dunno, clean something. Or sit with my cute baby in my lap and pretend to clean...

This is my all time favorite response. How about, I have an awesome husband that participates in child rearing (participates not "helps") so that sometimes I have time to myself to do things like ohhhh, have a life and enjoy myself instead of being a lameazz.
You can always tell the ignorant ones on a forum; proper use of grammar and punctuation confuses them a great deal.
Yes, I always like to put my quotation marks after the period. I think it adds that extra flare to my writing.
With very few exceptions, punctuation goes within the quotation marks if
the quotation mark ends the sentence. Sorry your English professor
didn't teach you that.

Thank you for the English lesson. You have officially taken all the fun out of this thread.
Ladies it was a joke. Sometimes it really is ok to take a deep breath, pull the stick out and laugh.
You would be correct. . .if we had found the "joke" to be humorous; the majority of us did not.
In that same vein, it really is okay to give up on a lame joke and walk away. Looks like many lessons could be learned from this thread.
Yes.
Lesson 1) NONE of us have lives on a Saturday evening....!
Nope, we certainly do not. *lol*
Le sigh. I DID, until my clown feet started preventing me from doing anything.
*Turns on Golden Girls and pours a cup of chamomile*
See, it's moments like these I miss having cable. I guess it's reruns of Bones on Netflix and a nice cup of decaf Passionfruit Papaya tea for me. (Salt in the wound: Husband is out teaching college freshmen and high schoolers about astronomy while I'm stuck at home. )

 "Wah-mbulance," ROFL.
Oh, you can post images. You're so smart!
But look, I can, too:
Describes this to a "T."

Pretty much this. Even in North Carolina, it hasn't been THAT cold, except perhaps that one day we got snow flurries.

That's fine, most of us just didn't think it was funny. I'm sure some did, though.
CUTE little munchkin in your sig, by the way...love the dinosaur :-)
Oh, I certainly second this emotion. That is one cute little tyke!
Yes.
Lesson 1) NONE of us have lives on a Saturday evening....!
Lesson 2) some of you need to lighten up!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies and best of luck for your L&D!!
