Trying to Get Pregnant

Opinion? Request to check out my chart pls?

Can you have a pos OPK and then not ovulate (I used a digital test)?  I didn't have my usual temp shift this morning and I'm starting to worry - already just freaked out since last cycle's outcome.  Does anyone know how/if having a chemical pregnancy could affect future cycles? Any feedback on my chart or knowledge welcome!!  Thanks!

  • It is possible to have an LH surge (pos OPK) and then not ovulate, yes. Keep using OPKs (at least when you start to notice fertile CM if you check it) - it's possible that your body will try again this cycle. I don't know how c/ps could affect future cycles.

  • yes it is possible.  Your body can be gearing up to O but never does and might at a later time in your cycle.  Mine did this two cycles ago.

This exactly. I had this happen a couple cycles for me when I was still regulating off BCP.  So, maybe your c/p could be causing your body to have to re-regulate just like when coming off BCP does and causing the 'gear up fake out' (as I like to call it).  Just keep using the OPKs and temping. It can be frustrating and confusing, I know! GL!

  • Thanks everyone - I'm so, so worried that things aren't going to be as easy this time around and having the possible c/p completely amplifies that worry.

That makes sense that it could happen like that.  If my temp doesn't go up tomorrow, I'm going to go out and get more test kits I guess.  And either way we should probably BD tonight or tomorrow... my "poor" DH, we are both so busy with work and taking care of our DS that we barely have time to do it much anyway, so the recent frequency has been unusual lol!  I keep telling him, well, I think we should do it today and then we should be good... and now I'm like, oh, btw, we should do it again tomorrow too lol.  But hey, that's the fun part :)

Thanks again for the feedback, ladies - I am really worried but am trying to keep a positive attitude.  Really hoping that the c/p doesn't mean I'm going to have a lot of challenges ahead, but I know that it could mean that :(
