DS is so sleepy, you'd think he'd sleep a bit longer at night

. During the day, we are either holding him or using the moby for naps. He eats every two hours if he stayed awake between feeds or every three if he naps (he would go four, but we wake at three to feed bc I want him to get enough during the day and switch his internal clock. At night, DH holds him for sleep from about 10:30-1:30 and then comes to bed; he then wakes up to eat every two hours exactly. Ie, if he eats at 1:30 and I finish feeding him at 2:30 (and change, swaddle, make sure he is sound asleep or he will cry) and lay him down, he is up at 3:30. I know he is only three weeks old and I'm ok with this schedule, but I'm wondering if other three week LOs are in a similar place or if further moms can remember when things stretched out longer.
Thanks!

Re: How long of a "stretch" does your three week old sleep?
at 3 weeks I think we were getting 3-4 hours between feedings overnight. By 4 or 5 weeks I think she was going 4-5 hours and by 8 weeks she was in a pattern of 7pm bedtime and 6-8 hours, up to nurse, then another 3-4 hours. Now at 12 weeks, we always get at least an 8 hour stretch, sometimes 9, then another 3 or 4 after nursing.
It will get better!
