Morning Sickness Check in?

I was wondering if we should start having one of these every week, since even the 'newest' of us are nearing the end of their 1st tri... so according to the book, our morning sickness should be going away.

So, who all here is still sick? Did you expect this? What are you doing to manage/cope with the nausea at this point?

Re: Morning Sickness Check in?

  • I still have nausea, just not as frequent. I get it mostly at night time. And I am down to only throwing up when I seriously overdo it.

  • Still sick here. Actually the sad thing is my prenatals make me sick more then anything, I have stopped taking them for now. I have m/s in the morning, then I am nauseous through out the day if I don't eat in time. I just hit 13 weeks, and I knew that it wouldn't be an immediate end. My mom and Aunt both had Hyperemesis, and I am thankful I haven't had it like they did, so I think that I might go longer then they did. They were both done at about 13 weeks. I am managing with not taking my vitamins and eating anything that I can stand.

  • One of my best friends wasn't able to take her prenatals for a while for the same reason. Her doctor told her to take Flintstone Vitamins, might be worth looking into. Hopefully you start feeling better soon!

  • With twins I'm told it can go in to 20 weeks. I'm miserable but coping. Rice is my friend. Can't wait to feel better but am pleased I've only lost weight, doctors are happy.
  • Still sick. Nausea and dizziness.   Actually, it seems to be worsening if that's possible.  I'm miserable.

  • Big SmileI am still very sick. I will be 15 weeks tomorrow and it hasn't slowed down at all. We'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks or so. Good luck ladies!
  • I started taking B6 and Unisom before bed about 3 weeks ago.  It has done wonders.  I don't get sick very often at all anymore.  I tried to stop taking it a couple of times and then I'm sick as dog the next day.

  • Ughhh. I'm still sick, too. I guess I expected it since I was sick with my first pregnancy until ~30 weeks, but I sincerely hoped it would be better. I'm still holding out hope it won't last that long this time. I'm taking unisom and B6 as well as zofran as needed (although I agree with the PP about te constipation). I'm so sorry all of you ladies are still dealing with this as well :(

  • I'm still getting sick every day at some point.. It actually got worse around 12 weeks, which isn't normal, but can happen (says the doctor).. So lots of fluids and plain pasta, toast, etc :)  It'll be worth it!
