Mrs. Braxton:I was on ibuprofin but you don't have to bring that to the hospital. They have it there. And even if you do bring it they will probably want you to take theirs. When I was in the hospital when DD1 was born they wouldn't even let me take my own perscription medication (for pih). They ordered me the same exact thing from the hospital. They said something about it having to be"hospital controlled" as long as you're there. All drugs have to come from them and have to be given by a nurse.
I asked specifically if I could bring in my own medication and was OK'd- it just needs to be checked in through the pharmacy. It's much cheaper to bring your own, and since I have to buy it anyway for when I come home I'm going to bring it with me.
byrne15:I took colace and ibuprofen
mabenner1:Colace, Motrin, and Percoset.
I only took the percosets for a few days and only one first thing in the morning.
Once I got home just double does of Tylenol and Advil.
In the hospital I just had ibuprofen in my IV. It was a super dose. They also gave me a prenatal vitamin. I was not even "allowed" to take my own vitamins.
oxycodon:) ibuprofin and colace
