pain in the V - like too much s*x - thoughts?

I woke up with pain around the entrance to my vagina like I'd been having an enthusiastic session with my man.... but I didn't - and if this keeps up I won't Tongue Tied.  I do have varicose veins (lucky me!) but I dont' think that's what this is.  Any ideas?

  • It's probably the baby's head putting pressure on you. Or just increased blood flow, which can cause swelling.

  • Yeah, I have the same feeling.  My Dr. said that it was normal.  I too think it is because of increased blood flow and LO being head down so there is just a lot of pressure.

  • Thanks ladies!  I do think the baby has been low the last few days so that could well be it!

  • I have the same problem! It feels bruised almost. Every time I stand up, I feel like I've just been kicked in the crotch. Good times.
  • It's always such a relief to know that whatever the symptom I'm not the only one. And its not the kind of thing you can discuss at work (especially since none of my 7 co-workers have had children).

  • yep a soreness right? i have that too- but my little guy is super high up so its not pressure from his head for me.. must be increased blood flow.

Bahaha! So true! Literally made me LOL! I'm due on Wednesday and will be induced on Thursday if she's not here by then. I feel the EXACT same way! It feels swollen, bruised and "like I've just been kicked in the crotch."

  • I have this too! For me it is worse when laying down.  When I am standing and walking around the pain isn't as bad.  I have no idea what it is but I had this with my DD also and the pain didn't go away till a ouple nights after I delivered her.
