Recommend Your Pack n' Play Please!

We plan on using this for where LO will sleep the first six weeks in our room and then for travel as needed. Originally I was hooked on Graco's with the cozy cove bassinet for her but now I'm thinking I don't need that and will get a pack n' play and a bouncer-any recommendations are welcome-thank you!

  • I have the chico brand and its the lullaby one I think. I bought it later on for DD for travel and stuff but look forward to using it with our next as a newborn!

  • We got this one because it has a changing table. It came in handy although I love my ARCS and recommend it highly.

  • After a ton of research I got this one https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12176319.  It had the highest weight for the changing table (25 lbs!) and the changing table also felt much more study than other brands.  I also like the side tray instead of the diaper stacker.  It makes a great place to put wipes, etc.  The bassinet part also has a reclining feature which not all brands offer.  I also like the zipper storage underneath and it comes with a music/white noise player.  The only thing that would make it better is if the mobile moved.

  • We have a Chicco Lullaby and use the MamaDoo Kids mattress topper (foldable) for much needed extra comfort (our son would wake every hour). They are both super portable and take them when we visit family. Good luck!
  • I have this pack n play https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11363850 the reviews are not great but we went to the store and played with lots of them and loved this one.  It is not easy to assemble but once you have it together it works great (I love the fold up / down changing table.. you can do it with one hand).  As for a bounce we have two (different purposes)... mamaroo and fisher price rainforest bounce.  Our LO loves the mamaroo for sleeping and the bouncer is quite handy for the bathroom while I take a shower.

  • We have the Safety 1st satellite premier playard and my husband and I were just having the conversation about what a great playard it is compared to the rest of them out there. The mobile is actually motorized, it has a nightlight, it has storage for diapers and etc (or you can remove it if you prefer), the changer is very sturdy and actually sits along the end of the playard and is stationary rather than covering half the playard and needing to be folded down for the child to actually be inside. Also this is minor, but the carry bag is roomy and has a separate compartment for the bassinet part. Theres nothing more irritating than when you have to fight to fit the playard into the carry case and then realize theres no room for the bassinet, so this feature really excited me lol

  • I loved ours, Safety 1st Pegasus!  I liked having the hamper and storage especially since I have a two story house.  This is where all of the baby stuff was for the first 4ish months, super convenient!

  • I have the Graco (Posie design) pack n play with the bassinet and changing table thing for the top. I honestly hardly ever used those features! DD did NOT like to sleep unfortunately, so I ended up with her on my chest sleeping most of the time. I could occasionally get her to sleep in the bouncy seat with vibrate on. They are nice features though so I'm hoping my next DD will get more use out of them. I don't believe they are necessary though. If I were you I would just get a cheap ( but safe ) play yard with minimal features. Try Cosco brand. You can get a mattress cover to go over it to give more padding and help LO sleep better. Every baby is different though, it's so hard to know what your own will prefer.
