So, my brother has been dating this girl for a few months. She makes rude comments, is immature, and is just over all an annoying person. I see her about once a week at family dinner and that is certainly enough. I don't hate her or anything, she just isn't my favorite person, and I find myself having to bite my tongue a lot when she is around. Anyway, she has been saying things like "when is this baby going to come out?!" or "Can't you make the baby come?!" since before Christmas. I always want to say something snarky but I refrain and instead say something along the lines of "not until April.". I just don't get why people say things like that. Um, no thanks, I don't want me baby born early.
Well, today she writes this on my FB wall "makeeee the babbyyyy come out!!". Am I completely out of line for being annoyed and wanting to type something snarky back? Am I the only one who thinks it's inappropriate to continuously ask/tell a MTB to make the baby come out way before the due date?
Ugh. Vent over.
Re: My brother's annoying GF vent
Bwahahaha!!!
I would be annoyed, too, and I would probably post something snarky like "It's a good thing you don't get to decide when she comes. She's still got 7 weeks to cook! Thanks for hoping she premature!" or something along those lines.
I would have already said something super biitchy to her about it, so consider yourself a better woman than me. Plus why does it matter to her when the baby comes out. You two aren't friends and it's not like she's an aunt to the baby... just the girlfriend of your brother (might sound mean, but it's true).
My 6 year old doesn't even harass me about the baby coming even though she's really excited about her sister. She knows she will be here in April, and that suits her just fine.

I was wondering the same exact thing! You're right, she will certainly not be Aunt E____. And, when we see each other I am cordial but nothing more, so I am not quite sure why she would think I want her to even be around my baby. My mom uses the excuse that she is young. She is 18 or 19 for christ sake! Certainly old enough to know better. My 7 year old client at work doesn't even say such things.
Ha, I'd probably respond with:
"Only if you're headed over to catch it!"
She seems horrendous.
Trust me, I hope the exact same thing. And, my sister and I have said this several times (not to them, but to our parents). haha
