How do you prepare your formula? Ive read and heard so many conflicting things I have such anxiety over preparing bottles. I've been boiling cold tap water for 2 mins every morning and mixing it in my dr. Brown pitcher for the day. I've read boiled water is only "good" 24 hours, I've also read you're supposed to mix formula with water that is 70 degrees? And don't let water cool more than 30 mins etc etc. basically I'm going crazy! So I'm curious what others were doing? I've thought about trying nursery water but have read conflicting things on that too.

Re: Formula feeding mommies...
I use water that we have run through a pur or brita filter. There's so much conflicting information out there. Our house is relatively new so I'm not worried about pipe seepage and our areas tap water quality is within normal limits.
It is natural to worry, try not to drive yourself too crazy!

We use warm tap water also! For a while I didn't even use warm water, but LO definitely seems to like it better warm.
My mom keeps my LO during the day and she does boil (filtered) water for the bottles she makes at her house. I think it's overkill but it makes her feel better.
I WILL say that when we are going out and about that I am a little bit weird about water then...I either fill up bottles like a PP with very hot water and take with us or use the ready-to-feed stuff. For some reason the thought of getting water from somewhere else besides OUR sink kind of weirds me out.
The most important thing I think is just to make sure your hands and the bottles are always clean!
