peeing in the tub

Does your child (or is your child allowed to) pee in the tub when they are taking a bath?  I was watching a friend's daughter last weekend; she is 2.5 an still potty training but is just about trained.  She wears pull ups but usually uses the toilet.  I gave her a bath and had her use the potty maybe 5-10 min before taking a bath.  She went a little but not much.  She gets in the tub and starts peeing, a lot, and is watching it and laughing at it like its something she does often.  My DS knows to tell me and/or get out of the tub to go pee.

    At that age? No. My DS still does this at every bath though. :)

    My three year old still tries to pull this. Who knew peeing in the tub was so fun?

    Now that I think about it, my DD does sometimes pee in the shower. Embarrassed Never in the tub though. She freaks when her brother does it, so I don't think she even thinks about it.

    The shower is one thing, my 4yo DS will do that on occasion.  But the tub, where they would then bathe in the water???  I probably wouldn't have thought much about it if she just went a little because it was funny but she went a LOT.

    Just be thankful that it's just pee and not poop. Taking a bath relaxes them and sometimes they just gotta go..

    We've had the poop accidents before.  And this really wasnt her relaxing; she literally climbed in and started going.  Hadn't even sat down in the water yet.

    We always have DS pee right before he gets in the tub (he is 4), but as soon as he sits in the warm water he has to pee again. Now that he is potty trained, he will jump up and pee in the toilet, but there were many many many refilled baths in his past.

    When LO was that age, I'd just pull him out, put him on the toilet, and drain the tub.  That kind of puts an end to the "fun" of it.

    Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.

    Ok, I can't be the only one that doesn't really give a crap if my kid bathes in a quarter cup of his own urine that has been diluted in gallons and gallons of water...
