NBR: Recommend your foundation

I've been using Clinique foundation (can't remember exactly which type now) but definitely need something a little more full coverage.  I don't want to feel like I have a pound of makeup spackled on my face, though.  What do you ladies like?  TIA!

  • Tarte is really good. I've also used smash box but I have oily skin in the summer and it felt a bit heavy sometimes

  • I love Benefit-- sheer, but nice even coverage.

  • I used to like MAC studio fix, but it started feeling really heavy as I got older.  Now I use Bare Minerals and really like it.   I prefer powder foundations, because it feels like I can blend them better.  I hate that foundation line feeling!

  • Revlon photo ready; it covers amazingly without being too oily or heavy. It has a nice matte finish; I love it to hide all of my acne scars.

  • I did use Bare Minerals powder for a long time, but throughout the day it would wear off and only be dark around my mouth and eyebrows. It was weird because I wouldn't touch my face or anything. I started using Maybilene mineral powder stuff (sorry I forget what exactly it's called) because it was cheaper and it works really well. It stays on all day and goes on even.

  • I use Chanel (Mat Lumiere). I love it. I feel like I've tried almost everything and every time I'm out I buy a different brand but this time I think I'll stick with Chanel. I think it's like $50 or so but it lasts for 2-3 months and works really well. Worth it!

  • I use Bare Minerals foundation and powder and love it. I do have to use Benefit's under eye cream though to hide my heinous dark circles!

  • I've used a couple different foundations over the past couple years, but lately I need something with a full coverage due to my redness. Try a liquid foundation with a matte finish. It will give a fuller coverage without feeling like it's caked on your skin. The best I've liked so far is the Studio Gear matte finish liquid foundation. It's about $25 give or take. The other one which I absolutely love, but splurged on since it was my birthday, is the Lancome Teint Idole liquid foundation, and it was $49. I absolutely love that foundation.

Same. It has amazing coverage, and doesn't clog my pores as long as I use a good exfoliant before bed.
