Just wondering, how much walking should I be doing? I'm afraid to go over my due date...I want my LO already!! hehe I feel like this is my last week to get things crackin'! I've been walking a lot but don't know how much walking is good. Any ideas?
You're not alone. Lol, actually, I think you, me, and PP all have the same due date. I'm actually EXPECTING to go over my DD. I was 5 days late for my mom, and I expect my LO to be late for me. I'd say walk as much as you want, give into some of those Old Wives' tales (pineapple, sex, etc.) but don't be shocked if they don't work. Baby will come when it comes - remember, due dates are estimates, not written in stone. Our babies will come when they are ready.
Same here. I feel like the only one left without a baby. My friend just had hers and she went to 42 weeks so in my head I feel like I may go that far at this point. When I walk for more than 15 minutes my groin and legs kill me.
I agree with pp - walk, but don't over do it. If you have the time to walk comfortably and then rest, then walk again, I would do that - but don't just take one long continuous walk. You can also try nipple stimulation if you've already started contracting a bit - but be careful - if you over do it it can lead to contractions that are too intense. GL!
Hubster and I have been going on daily walks (a lap or 2 around the mall) since 38.5 weeks. Here we are at 40.5, and still no baby. So, that plan hasn't done diddly for us. But it might work for you. Good luck.
Re: 39 weeks and no baby yet...
I was 39 weeks yesterday. I think the baby will be here soon enough. Enjoy the time you have left to get stuff done.
