  This is a dumb q, but am I missing out by not watching this show?  I see it popping up in my FB news feed frequently.  And if the answer is "yes," is it available on Net Flix?

  Yes and yes! And if you hurry, you can catch season 2 on the PBS website. If you like period drama, it's sure to please. But even if you don't usually go for that sort of thing, DA appeals to a wide audience. The sets, the costumes, and the production are top-notch. The second season gets pretty hokey--some even say it jumped the shark--but it's fun. The show is bookended by the Titanic and the end of The Great War, so a very interesting time in terms of cultural shift.

  I want to say that yes you are missing out but it's not a show everyone likes. I love it, but I also love all things period and historical.
