I posted this on the breastfeeding board, but I'm hoping some 2x moms may be able to shed some light. I'm struggling to get LO to eat more - but I'm not sure if what I'm
doing is necessarily wrong. She is only 5 days old, and we had our first
dr. appt - where she already gained back 6 oz of the 10 she lost in the
hospital. Usually I can get her 10 min on one side, then 5 min on the
other. I've tried everything with waking her back up, burping - all of
it. She just gives up - either by biting down when I "remind" her or
just let's me slide it right out. Is this ok what I'm doing? I know it's
resulting in being awake A LOT at night (she gets up every 2-2 1/2 hrs
for these quick feedings), but I just want to make sure if this is
normal for a baby this new?

Re: 2x moms - are 15 min feedings normal?
My 5 day old does this too. I think the ultimate goal is 15 on both sides but she eats when she's hungry and then stops when she's not. Don't force it or worry, as long as she is gaining weight you're ok!
