27 weeks...is this 3rd trimester? It's all so confusing!

As of today I am at 27 weeks. Some places I have read that this is the beginning of the 3rd tri - other places it is at 28 weeks. I'm a FTM and am quite confused. Do any of you ladies happen to know? TIA!

The Bump said I was in the third tri at 27 weeks, so I moved over. And even if we are a week earlier....it's only a week :-)

It depends on where you look. I moved over just before 27 weeks because I was tired of the 2nd tri board.

Same here, especially being a second timer. Honestly I haven't given much thought to when 3rd tri started because it really doesn't mean much!

It's so close I don't think it matters when precisely it is. I moved over here at 27 weeks.

Trimester	first			second			third

Example:

In Week 15 = you are in your 4^th Month and Month 4 is in your Second Trimester
[So - You have completed three months and are now into your fourth month]
think like your age: - You are 28 and have completed 28 years, you are in your 29^th year.
