Re: POST a pic of your tattoo...

  • We haven't done them yet. My husband has never liked tatoos for himself but now he wants one of her footprint on upperarm or shoulder. Now you got me thinking...that might be a good Fathers Day gift.

I know a lot of tattoo places offer gift cards... maybe take the footprint to them and have them draw something up and give you a gift card for how much they think it will cost.

Thats awesome that you have someone close to you that does them. Mine was$50 which isnt too bad but for such a small simple tattoo I would have rather paid less. I also think its great that your brother is honoring his nephew!! too cute!

  • Neither of us have one, but once #2 comes along I may get a Celtic knot. It has 3 points, so it would be one for each baby we got to keep, and one for the loss we had first.  This is all hoping that we don't have any more losses and that we are blessed with another baby.

  • I got her birth date written out in French exactly 2 weeks after she was born. 9 months of pregnancy was the longest I've gone without a tattoo! Lol. I will be getting an "I Love Lucy" heart tattooed on the back of my left arm within the next couple of weeks. I'll post a picture when I do!

  • Love your tats! Also, I love PP's tattoo in french. I have a french tattoo and love it. I haven't gotten DD's tattoo yet, mainly because we've had no time with DH's work schedule. I'm thinking something on my wrist. I have DS's tattoo on my foot- the letter "X" with his birthdate intertwined.

yeah tats are crazy. my bro's shop won't put a freckle on you for less than $35. not sure if it's overhead or policy or what. but that's the deal.

i've got a huge back tat of the tree of life. right now i've intertwined 'mom,' 'dad,' and 'brother' on it. DH isn't on it for superstition purposes! but instead of adding 'son' or something i think he deserves his own spot.

to the celtic knot poster: i think that's an amazing idea to honor all your babies here and in heaven. good luck with everything and show us when you're done!
