If you nursed/are nursing #2

What did #1 do while you nursed? I feel bad but A watches Dora or uses the iPad while I nurse mostly...just because it keeps her in the same room so I can watch her and it's something she enjoys and doesn't do much. Sometimes we read but that's about it.

She watches wordworld, brings me books, or plays with her trains or letters. I feel bad for her too in general but figure it will get better in a few months.

She just did whatever she would normally be doing.. Watch TV, play with toys, eat lunch (a lot of times I would give her her lunch then nurse the baby). Natalie never nursed for a super long time at once, and my house is pretty small.. so it wasn't really a big deal

When I was on maternity leave Stella would sit on the couch with some raisins (her favorite snack) and we would read books a lot. I would also try to coincide breakfast and lunch time so I could nurse Audrey while Stella was contained in her high chair eating. Sometimes I also would nurse in Stella's room and just close the door and let her play/read in there. It will get easier, but if watching Dora keeps her happy, then that's ok IMO!

It was tough, I won't lie.. snacks, TV, etc. I remember it being very stressful. I should have bought stock in Pepperidge farm considering how many goldfish DD ate between my pregnancy and DD#2 being a newborn.

This was us. Pierce's nursing sessions always lasted less than 10 minutes. He was very efficient from the very beginning. I always used the "my breast friend" pillow that buckled on and I could do things like get Reed food or whatever while he was nursing.

Most of the time I would have her snuggle up next to me on the couch and I would read to her. Sometimes she would play in her room by herself but I really encouraged her to sit with us. We read A LOT of books!!! lol
