I'm working with an etsy artist to do a piece for our nursery, and she asked if I had a phrase or saying I'd like to have included. I hadn't thought about it and nothing is coming to mind.
Anyone have a favorite you'd be willing to share?
This is the artist, in case you're interested too

Re: Favorite adoption phrase/saying
I've always liked the poem that starts
"Not flesh of my flesh or bone of my bone...."
You'll have to google it because Ican't find my copy right now. It maybe too long for what you are doing but it is what comes to my mind.
PAL/PGAL Welcome
This is the start of your sweet little story - the part where your page meets mine - no matter where your tale takes you tomorrow - our story will always read love.
Being a family means you a part of something wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life. No matter what.
We made a wish and you came true.
From the moment they placed you into my arms you snuggled right into my heart.
Adoption is another word for LOVE.
(These are all phrases I've saved on my Pinterest page!!!)
Please show us the finished piece when it's all done - I would love to see it!
Love all of these! Thank you! I had thought about the one above - the "not flesh of my flesh.." one but I love all of these options now. It's going to be hard to choose.
OMG I love Pinterest
We have the saying "Everyday holds the possibility of a Miracle" on our Nursery wall. It's not adoption specific, but certainly rings true in the world of adoption.
I'm not sure if this entirely appropriate for wall art but I just love these shirts:

They say, "I was so worth the wait!", "No I didn't give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you."
Glad you liked them. I will admit...I'm a Pinterest addict!!
This. Love love love.

There is joy in the journey.
I think all of us adoptive mamas need to have it tatood across our foreheads to remember to appreciate our journey to our child. It is SO hard!
"no i didnt give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you"
Agreed!! So hard to keep in mind.
