Great first appointment!

I had my first appointment today!  It was fantastic. I changed doctors bc I honestly didn't want to deal with the insane billing system of the hospital system my previous doc was with ( and the hospital is now 30 min away without traffic; new one about 7 min away!). 

Anyway, I really like the doctor. He was really nice and reassuring. Joked with us a bit. 

 Most importantly, everything looks great. He did a transvaginal ultrasound, I about freaked when I saw the heartbeat & he focused in and out & I was totally happy to see the brain (esp since he knew I knew exactly what is happening this week with brain development)!  Next time he said we'd schedule for the more advanced u/s.  DH was a little overwhelmed & excited!  I will also ask the doc to explain the u/s more so DH has more of a clue! (I've taken more embryo classes than most doctors... and currently teach a few neurodevelopment lectures)
