  • Oh man, I was so hoping to open this thread and get a nice concise list of what the hell I'm supposed to be doing with my almost 2 year old.

No advice on the book, though the title sure sounds nice.

  • LOL!  Yeah, sorry about that.  I have a (very strong willed) 15 month old and need some sort of help.

  • I haven't read that one, but I just finished posting on 12-24 about https://alysonschafer.com/ and her books. LOVE THEM!!! Big Smile

We practice punisment free parenting and her books have taught us how to be firm, loving, and give choices to our children; without needing punish, bribe or yell at them. I pink puffy heart her. They are also written in a very funny, approachable style, which makes me love them even more. You walk away from reading one of her books feeling light and energized and just plain excited to share them and the concepts with other parents (instead of feeling like a dirty hippy). Wink

  • i heard good things from one other AP mom about this book but haven't read it yet.

i like the Positive Discipline book by Jane Nelson.

(you can "like" Positive Discipline on FB if you want occasional good info/links.  they also have their own discussion boards on their website that have certified Positive Discipline coaches comment on to help you out.  this is my favorite thing they've posted online: I Love you and the answer is No)
