I have RA (rheumatoid arthritis). I stopped all my meds when I found out I was pregnant. Today I had my first appointment with my RA doc since finding out I was pregnant (she knew I was trying). I have flared up big time since coming off my meds, and basically I'm a mess. So we talked about my options. She told me that I was clear to take 5mg/day of prednisone (steroid) once I hit the second tri (and I called my OB and they agree). I'm unsure of this after doing my own research and will probably save it for a last resort. She also gave me a cortisone shot in my knee today (and I'm already feeling so much better). But now I'm having second thoughts about the shot. Clearly I needed it, but I'm hesitant to get a second one down the line, and I'm worried I've hurt the baby. Does anyone have any experience with this?
