We're officially out for this cycle. My period started yesterday and we'll go in tomorrow morning for a baseline u/s and hopefully to start Femara (RE feels its time to move on from Clomid.) At 7dpo last week I also got the news that my progesterone was low, so I think I knew from then. So, trying to keep my spirits up and off we go...
TTC with PCOS since July 2011.

Kershinc, sorry if this is too personal, but it's not in your siggy and I've been wondering - are you taking Metformin for the PCOS? I'd assume that would have been a first step.
My sister got pregnant with PCOS using Metformin. My cousin didn't have luck with Metformin but went on a very strict PCOS diet (very limited carbs, tons of fruits and veggies, moderate soy and animal protein) and got pregnant after a few months of the diet. Of course both had the advantage of unlimited free sperm, but I just wanted to share some success after PCOS stories with you.

The RE says progesterone can vary a lot from one cycle to the next. A different method of inducing ovulation may effect it and may not. It could be better ona different cycle just randomly too. But we're going to add post-IUI supplementation next cycle anyways. (They were going to call it in last week too, but it never happened. Long, annoying story. Needless to say I am not thrilled w/ the RE office right now.)

Not too personal, no problem. We've discussed Met with the RE, but she wants to hold off on it. I believe it has to do with the results of my initial tests and the liklihood of it being insulin resistant PCOS or not....but honestly I didn't totally understand the thinking. If I don't respond well to Femara or get pregnant soon I will definitely revisit the issue with her, as I've read that many RE's believe it helps whether you're IR or not. I'm trying to eat healthier and I know losing weight would be positive, but I'm not totally sold on the benefits of the PCOS diet even if it's popular.
