Advil or Aleve during pregnancy?

Have your doctor said anything about these mild pain killers during pregnancy? Read this article about it, seems like the studies out there aren't the most concrete, but made me want to talk to my doctor about it at the next visit!

  • Do not take anything without your doctors approval... there are sooo many medications that are not okay while pregnant.  That being said, my sister took advil and didn't know that rule and her daughter had a hole in her heart in the second trimester from taking that drug... when they found out she was taking it they freaked out, but thankfully your body is an amazing healer and healed the hole before her daughter was born.

  • Agree with PP, no Advil or Aleve. Tylenol or Acetaminophen (generic Tylenol).
