So apparently the 2nd trimester is the "best" time to do practically everything! I'm only trying to schedule two "big" things right now, but am running into so many conflicts:
What is stressing me out is that with the cruise I'd have to miss a Bradley class. I sent the instructor close to me an email asking about make up classes and this was her reply: "It is best never to miss unless absolutely necessary. Couples who skip classes usually do not have the birth they are hoping for as they are ill-prepared. I will do a brief catch-up 15-30 mins before the next class after a missed class for a good reason."
Her reply kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I know she just had a baby, so maybe she was just tired and in a hurry when she wrote this?
I've asked the other instructors about missing classes and they pretty much said we could come early the next week and do an individual review, etc. Which is great, but those classes are so far away and not at the best times.
I'm almost 17 weeks, so I just need to get these things scheduled, but I am just so frustrated!!!!

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!

Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
That seems kind of harsh from the instructor... you are choosing to take this class, it's not like it's school. Good lord is she going to give you an exam too?
If it were me, if you want to do the cruise and think you can do it, don't worry about missing 1 class. I'm sure you will still have to pay for all the classes so really why is she bothered if you miss one. Sheesh.
Um, right. So, if an instructor was like that to me, I would say thanks but no thanks. I don't like how she is trying to scare you that if you miss 1 class you will not have the birth experience that you want. Is her whole class going to be that if you don't do things the way she tells you to do them you will have a horrible birth experience?
DH and I had talked about doing a babymoon, and I'm glad that we didn't. Not because of my complication, but because time just starts FLYING by and we felt that if we went on a babymoon, it would actually be more stressful!

Hey amberleeb - Thanks for the info about Carnival. I actually read about their policy a week or two ago (letting you go up to 25 weeks). I was so excited becasue this opened up another week for us. Actually I'd prefer this other week. However, DH already has a work commitment that he can't get out of. He's a police detective and his "big" case goes to court that week. If it were any other case of his I'd make a big deal and beg that he miss it, but I know this one is too important and means too much to him. Plus he told me it was too late to reschedule. So it looks like we are back to that one week! Ug! At least that helps me focus my searches on just one week! LOL!
BTW - Where are you going on your cruise? Just curious.
