I say don't do it. Bangs are hard to grow back out (my mom's a hair dresser so I'm constantly changing my style up). The only good way I've found to let them grow is to chop the rest of my hair--so if you are cool with possibly having to chop all of your hair in order to get your bangs back, then do it. Otherwise, I say don't
To change it a bit, you could always do a longer/side-swept bang for a change but not *too* drastic. They're a lot easier and fast to grow out and if you like them, you could go shorter like that picture at the next cut!

I was thinking about doing that.. but I have done it a few times before. That's why I picked something so drastic!
I don't know, maybe I will start with a longer bang then work my way up?!

I still say go for it! I think you would look great and it's fun to try new things out. I know I am biased (banged and all), but bangs are what it is all about right now. They are an easy way to change up your look without having to spend too much money. Do it!
I had that exact style and I loved the way that it looked and I think from your pic that it would look good on you. My only caveat is that the straight down bangs for me required much more maintenance. I *had* to blow them out or they would look like crap. Eventually I ended up growing them and cutting them into more of a side swept bang.
Re: NER: WDYT..
That's what I have been saying to myself!
'It's just hair and it will grow back if I don't like it.'

My hair is alot like hers. Its brown, straight, and about the same length..
In order to answer, I'll need a current picture for comparison.
Pretty please??
I think that you should post a picture too.
Whether bangs will work really is dependent on what
you look like. My sister is a stylist so I have authority
by association

It's not the best picture.. but it's the most recent (September.. I think). I cropped out my DH. It wasn't his best.
My hair is about 2 inches longer now.
Just my 2 cents

LOL
Before this look my hair was pretty long for about 10 years!
But hey, if you find a good look then stick with it! I like mine, I just want something edgier.

You have a lovely face and face shape! I think that bangs
would look great on you, but you could also change your
overall look by doing layers and sideswept bangs like the
PPs suggested, and that would be cute as well
