first time using the clearblue OPK

Hello,

Today was my first time using an OPK. I probably sound like an idiot but is it best to test every single day with these kits to catch the days your ovulating or test every other day. Any help would be appreciated. I'm really clueless with all of this.Thanks for any help

                 

TTC since 2012 

Dx : DOR

IUI #1 (Follistim switched over to Menopur injections) - BFN

Attempted IUI #2 (Menopur injections only cycle) better response on the Menopur then the Follistim combination treatment cycle however my cycle was still canceled due to my eggs not maturing and follicles not growing enough on a high dose of Menopur (Re said I could try a cycle of comid + ovidrel  for an IUI) for my second IUI( praying this works for us)

  Clomid + Ovidrel protocol worked still a BFN as a result

Attempted cycle  Clomid  + Ovidrel protocol for IUI # 3 (Unable to do this cycle due to a cyst)

IUI # 3 Clomid+ Ovidrel protocol - BFP    Beta #1 752  Beta #2  1536    Beta #3 3797

EDD 10/27/14

Our sweet baby boy arrived on 9/2/14 TTC # 2 Conceived without help- June 2015 July 2015- Miscarriage ( blighted ovum)
March 2016 (ectopic pregnancy) :(

    You need to test every day.  If I remember correctly, you test starting on day 6 of your cycle and keep going until you hit peak fertility - I was clueless too when I started and the directions were pretty good at spelling everything out.  Good luck!!

    Thanks that's what I was planning on doing. I went back and reread the instructions I was slightly nervous the first time taking the test so I don't think that I read the instructions as clearly as I should have. Thanks for answering my question.

    Just wanted to share my support as well. I have polycystic ovarian disease and was told that it was likely that I was not ovulating and that I would absolutely need medication to help me conceive. Bought the clear blue kit as my sis gave me a coupon and seriously the first month I tried it we conceived. I hope you have as good luck as we did!

    Thanks for the goodluck. I'm just stressing took one yesterday no smiley face took one today no smiley face I'm a worrier. Guessing because it's only been two days with no smiley faces I shouldn't be worried should I?I'm 32 and just sorta of  assumed I'd get smiley face right away.When would be a point to worry about not getting a smiley face on the clearblue kit??

    I used the clearblue OPK when charting and loved it. I actually used to test twice with it because the first few times I missed my surge as it only lasted a few hours. GL!

    I tested once a day starting around CD10 (I ovulated later typically) and then around CD14 or so I'd start testing twice a day until I caught it. Some months I missed it but testing twice a day helped catch the surge.
