A friend of mine just lent me these two books and I don't know about either. I will probably have time to read both, but in case I don't I'd love some opinions on them to decide which to start with.
I really enjoyed Hypnobirthing but I'm not familiar with the other. I have yet to deliver so we will see if it works for me, but I have regularly been practicing my rainbow relaxation and another hypno cd for months so I'm optimistic the relaxation techniques will come in handy.

I just noticed that you are 35 weeks. I would say hypnobirthing is not something you can necessarily just pick up a few weeks before labour. Practice is key. It is still worth a read but I don't know how successful it will be at this point

This.. Its worthing reading and see if you can pick up on some of the breathing and visualizations. That in it self would be helpful.

Re: Active birth or hypnobirthing
Depends if you think hypnosis can work for you.
I really didn't, so I didn't put any effort into that end of the spectrum of natural birth options and books.
