So I won't ask you what convertible seat you like but what sites did you find the most helpful to make your decision?

    I just used Google and found that Britax are the safest. So I got the top of the line Britax...the Advocate.

    No car seat is the safest. They all go through the same testing, so you are just paying more for the "extras". I wouldn't use consumer reports because their testing has been shown to be flawed.

    You can check out car-seat.org (and search by the name of the seat, or ask on there, there are a ton of car seat techs on the board) or look at www.carseatblog.com. They have a list of recommended seats.

    I'm a certified tech and have to agree - there is no "safest" care seat. All seats pass the same tests. The money is in comfort and ease of use. The safest car seat is the one that fits your car and your child best.
