A while back I read a post on here about using canola oil for a sperm friendly lube while TTC. Well I decided to try it after doing some research, I have been using it now for the past three days in row and.......
I have had the most (TMI) AMAZING sex ever!!! lol I love it! It really works for us, and its cheap!
Of course I did later decide to put it in a small pink travel size bottle to make it look a little more sexy then a mega huge, economy size jug of canola oil on the nightstand...
Any of you ladies ever try using canola oil before?
Re: Canola oil is my new sexy time best friend ;-)
Yes KK......
Some women apparently think it's OK to use something that you use to cook your chicken with.
GROSS.....

I can't imagine that is safe for your vag...
I haven't done my own research on it. But apprently it is.
My 1st instinct though is that it is NOT safe.

It's legit. Google it. It's not for everyone, I guess some people might be grossed out by it. It works for me, and I like it. To each her own! :-)
Please tell me what Canola Oil did for you that Pre-seed didn't?

Actually a lot of Obgyn's recommend it. It is natural as opposed to a lot things used in lubricants and is sperm friendly. Some people get turned off because they use it for cooking, but its actually very safe.
Lol same here.
Well that's good. I had no idea and haven't ever heard of this.
How'd I know the "it's cheaper" offense was coming? Ok, so peer-seed lasts forever, let's just say 6 months. So it costs roughly $3.35 a month to use pree-seed. That's pretty much the same price as one coffee drink from Starbucks. Hmmm doesn't seem so expensive now, right? I would WAY rather use something that is made for sex over something that is made for cooking. Regardless if it's deemed safe by REs.

I have heard OBs recommend it. Its funny .. to me this seems less strange than using pre-seed with all the chemicals it has. Don't get me wrong I use plenty of other products that are not natural but for some reason this canola oil just bug me.
I've also heard that olive oil works well. It does make sense, it's
Natural!
I don't think she was trying to be on the offense. Three drops is all it takes for Canola oil so it is inexpensive. Canola oil wasn't actually made for cooking originally. It's just something that's newer to the market as a food product over the last 50 years or so. That's just what most people associate it with. If Pre-seed works and that's what you like, I say continue using it
I don't think you should try anything that makes you uncomfortable.
I have nothing to add, but I love your siggy pic of Jax

You use Pre-seed, that's your choice. I use Canola oil, thats my choice. The end.
Yes, of course common sense should be used.... But I for me, I'd rather use things that are more natural especially when it comes to my private parts!
Anyhoo, I'd never heard of putting canola oil to this use, but I applaud frugality so I give a big
OMFG! I loooove that movie!!!!!!

Yeah, suck one. Time machine costs, like, 20.
This made me lmao. I completely agree.
No kidding, I don't blame you! We have cheap sheets from Ikea, but we put a towel down before we get it on. I guess being more adventurous then most is just in my nature. I do a lot of extreme sports too, I'm just wild lol.
Prometrium, which I use vaginally, is progesterone mixed in peanut oil. If you cannot tolerate peanuts, they use other oils like vegetable.
It's safe for your vag. Although my vag does smell peanutty fresh when I use it. I always ask H if he would like a peanut butter sandwich for dinner.

OP, I say use whatever works for you!
Haha, I often use the price of Starbucks to determine how expensive something is. :P
I say if you want to try it, go for it. For me personally, I'm not willing to put oil in my vag. I tried the Oil Cleansing Method last night, and even that took me a little while to come around to.

I checked it out on wiki, sounds pretty ick to me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canola
Also, if something is made from a genetically modified/hybrid seed it's not natural. Olive oil is natural. So is coconut oil, but I don't know about the effectiveness of using them as lube.
